Prof. Dr. Clarice Dias Britto do Amaral

Clarice Dias Britto do Amaral holds a Bachelor's degree and a teaching degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), and a Ph.D. in Science, with a specialization in Analytical Chemistry, from UFSCar. She is a Professor, Researcher, and Extensionist at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), where she leads the Laboratory of Spectrometry, Sensors and Biosensors (LaESB). She is an Executive Editor of Química Nova, a full member of the Brazilian Chemical Society (SBQ) and the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science (SBPC), and an Affiliated Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (2026–2030). She is also a member of the Núcleo Mulheres SBQ (2024–2026), a mentor in the 2nd Mentoring Program for Women in Science promoted by SBF, SBM, and SBQ, and a regular member of the EuChemS Sample Preparation Study Group and Network. Her research interests include analytical chemistry, trace analysis, ICP-MS, atomic and mass spectrometry, sample preparation, alternative green solvents such as deep eutectic solvents, forensic chemistry, and chemical speciation.
